On Monday, January 23, nearly 50 Colorado online education leaders and policy experts gathered at the Independence Institute’s new Freedom Embassy to help craft a roadmap of digital learning policy priorities for the state. School district and charter school online program personnel attended alongside representatives of policy organizations.
Co-sponsored by the Independence Institute and Donnell-Kay Foundation, the event featured the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL)’s President and Chief Executive Officer Susan Patrick as keynote speaker and facilitator. Colorado Department of Education Assistant Commissioner Amy Anderson and former State Board of Education member Randy DeHoff served as co-facilitators.
